It All Started with Mac and a Pickup Truck
Nearly four decades ago, Mac Groholski and his business partner lived in Wisconsin and were working with another tree company. Minneapolis fell to dutch elm disease, the two men left Wisconsin behind and decided to start their own company in the Twin Cities to help battle the infection.
The company took root in Little Canada where Mac, his business partner, and their families shared a small apartment. They started the company with a pickup truck, a log loader truck, and a solid work ethic. Humble beginnings! They later bought a house on East County Road D in Little Canada and for years this was the home base of the tree service business and their growing boys.
Eventually, things grew and got exciting - they added an addition to the house and built an office. Their tree services expanded and as a result, so did their equipment. In 1998, Mac's business partner left the company and traveled north to start his own business. In 2000, Precision Landscape & Tree moved to 50 South Owasso Boulevard East in Little Canada and built a new 5,000 square foot building that includes space for an office and a maintenance facility for their equipment.
Today, those growing boys are now born and raised 2nd generation operational Co-Vice Presidents of Precision Landscape & Tree. Jason leads the Tree Care Division specializing in Residential, Commercial, Municipal, and Plant Healthcare. And Cory leads Land Clearing, Timber Management, Material Grinding/Hauling, and Landscape Supply.
